Not every team is a winning team.

High performing teams is a timeless leadership topic and success is priceless. Team diversity, team dynamics, alignment on goals and disciplined implementation are critical but in our increasingly hectic world, how do you make this work in practice?

In this workshop, we focus on your team goals and priorities and take you on a practical exploration of building team accountability to identify key actions and steps where every team member owns the goals, expected outcomes and the plan for success.

Workshop objectives

This programme will help participants to:

  • Recognise the key attributes and mindset of a high performing team.
  • Align on team priorities and goals.
  • Come together to identify the gaps to achieving their team goals and actions forward.
  • Develop a team accountability plan for immediate implementation.

Who should attend?

This practical course is suitable for new and existing teams at all levels of the organisation who are looking to align and take their team performance to the next level.

Format

A practical, interactive, one-day session - delivered virtually or in-person, ideally for a maximum group size of 12. There are lots of different activities throughout the session where participants will work with their own team examples to build a high performing team accountability plan for immediate implementation to successfully achieve your goals. Pre-work is required to align the team ahead of the workshop.

Designing training for purpose

The majority of the training we deliver is either tailored or completely bespoke. This workshop can therefore be delivered entirely as advertised, or it can be tailored to your requirements, or we can simply take it as a starting point for a conversation with you before we draft a completely bespoke programme for you – the choice is yours.

Expert trainer

Marie is a highly experienced commercial training and ICF certified coaching expert with over 25years experience in sales & marketing leadership, capability building and coaching within the pharmaceutical sector.

Delivering training for purpose is Marie's passion, where her aim is to engage and energise her clients, helping them to build the learning mindset, skills and behaviours required to achieve their goals at an individual, team or organisation level.

Combining her commercial knowledge with her training, mentoring and coaching skills, Marie is an agile workshop facilitator who will confidently lead delegates from apprentice to C-Suite level through a clear and memorable learning journey that can be implemented immediately with actionable success measurements when they return to their desks.

  • Review and map the team understanding of business goals.
  • Explore the expected outcomes from achieving your business goals.
  • Identify beliefs that will support or get in the way of achieving your business goals.

3    The key steps to building high performing teams

  • Clarity and alignment on goals and priorities.
  • Aligned ways of working  – Building an environment of  safety, trust and courage.
  • Ownership and accountability – horizontal and vertical leadership.
  • Agile mindset – Building a learning mindset and fail-fast approach.

4    Building a culture of accountability  

  • Understand why accountability is critical to joint ownership of high performance.
  • Explore and reflect on accountable behaviours.  
  • Review best practice accountability behaviours v behaviours within your own team.

5    See It

  • Understand the importance of feedback and building a culture of learning.
  • Explore the feedback cycle – How to give and receive feedback with positive intention.
  • Practice the gift of feedback and uncover new learnings to achieve  you team goals.

6     Own It

  • Understand and explore the four levels of ownership.
  • Rank your team’s level of ownership to understand the priority areas of development to achieve your team goals.

7    Solve It

  • Review innovation and entrepreneurship – what else can we do?
  • Agile brainstorming exercise to identify gaps/solutions and new ideas to achieve your goals.

8    Do It

  • We wrap up the session with all team members identifying their accountability gaps and commitment forwards.

Actionable outcomes

  • Throughout the workshop we will use your team goals/priorities and examples to build an action plan for implementation immediately beyond the workshop. 
  •  You will learn and reflect on best practice examples of high-performance teams.
  •  You will be equipped to continue building a culture of high-performance and accountability within your team.
